Position Overview

As our MobileMapping department is expanding, we are looking for a dynamic person to join our team of around 25 people to oversee the scheduling and logistics of our growing fleet of drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective planning of our ~20 drivers, for 22 vehicles. 

For this, you will be working closely with our Operational Manager and Fleet Coordinators to ensure the scheduling and coordination of our nationwide collection of data across the Netherlands. Currently, planning is still done in Excel. A planning programme is being implemented.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling personnel, cars and resources for data collection within the Netherlands
  • Point of contact for fleet coordinators (they are the first point of contact for the drivers)
  • Target setting with fleet coordinators and management
  • Planning projects for drivers going abroad
  • Ensuring the highest possible effective number of collected kilometers
  • Monitoring the actual deployment
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to management / board of directors
  • Provide solutions and improvements as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a logistics planner, or in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Excel and technical proficiency with planning tools and software
  • Good geographical knowledge of the Netherlands
  • Solution-oriented & creative
  • Good command of English, Dutch is a plus
  • Adaptable and proactive
  • Flexible in your schedule and occasionally available on weekends during peak season if needed
  • Knowledge of GIS is an advantage
