Road markings and lines represent a crucial part of the road for road users. The arrival of (semi-)autonomously driving cars, which register the environment, means the position and condition of road markings is of great importance. AI-InfraSolutions’ strength and expertise lies in both the acquisition of geodata and the generation of AI-ready data for the automatic detection and classification of road markings. This will instantly allow the road authorities to see the condition of the outside road markings from behind the screen.
We offer detection algorithms which automatically and uniformly identify and classify road markings and road lines. Fast, accurate and efficient. These options ensure inspections can take place more often, allowing road inspectors to focus on other tasks.
Detection based on Ortho images
We use generated Ortho street photographs in our own 2D environment to register road markings. These images don’t have any perspective distortion, which has made them ultimately suitable for recording accurate measurements. AI-InfraSolutions’ image processing algorithms will read the information as soon as the road markings have been detected.
Our range
The AI-enriched data provides a better insight and more information about the road markings. Anything missed by the sensors or our algorithms can be manually supplemented. And that’s something we also take responsibility for.
AI-InfraSolutions can therefore offer a solution which supports and accelerates the work process. We will supply the results of the detection and classification in 2D (.shp) via the 3D Geoviewer, but also as a data layer for your own GEO/GIS or management environment.
