Position Overview: Team Manager Tech & Product 

The Team Manager leads the development teams within the Product & Tech organization, which is currently composed of around 30 engineers and product professionals. This is organized in 4-6 cross-functional teams, where the Team Manager drives agile maturity, fosters strong team dynamics and guides individual growth. This role ensures that teams can deliver high-quality work in a sustainable, predictable and scalable way. You play a key part in bridging day-to-day operations with strategic direction from the CTO and CPO. 

The Team Manager plays a vital role in building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and healthy team collaboration with personal ownership. You do this by contributing to the next steps in our way of working with agile leadership, people development and team effectiveness. This role ensures the tech organization is set up for sustainable and high-quality delivery. 

Core responsibilities 

  • Primary point of contact for team members for all matters related to their work experience, including guidance, support, resolution of any concerns or requests.
  • Translating strategic direction into goals for the team, creating clear frameworks for team action.
  • Guiding individual team members in their personal and professional growth, by developing and coordinating training and development plans. 
  • Collaborating closely with HR on team dynamics, organizational development, employee well-being, as well as sick leave management. 
  • Conducting performance reviews with input from the CTO and CPO. 
  • Contributing to the further development of the Way of Working of the Tech department. 

Our ideal candidate  

  • Brings management-, leadership- and strong communication skills. 
  • Skilled in interpersonal- and coaching dynamics, balancing team and individual needs. 
  • Proven experience coaching or leading teams. 
  • Empathic, proactive, and decisive. 
  • Result-driven, data-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Comfortable working both one-on-one and with  teams. 
  • Experience in fast-paced, tech-driven environments and working with (agile development) teams. 
  • Adaptable, reflective, with a growth mindset and a commitment to self-improvement. 
  • Background or interest in software development is a plus. 
  • Experience in HR-related roles is a plus. 
  • Dutch and English (B-level) language skills considering the international team.
