Project Lead - Mobile Mapping

We are looking for a Project Lead – Mobile Mapping in our Head Office in Eelde, near Groningen.
Function Purpose:
The Project Lead supports the Project Manager by managing day-to-day operations for mobile mapping assignments. This includes preparing field logistics, coordinating with Fleet Coordinators and Operator teams, monitoring execution progress, and supporting downstream workflows like data processing, data delivery and QA readiness. The role ensures execution remains on track, risks are escalated early, and compliance and quality expectations are upheld.
Position in Organization:
Reports to: Project Manager (EUR / AME / ROW).
Collaborates with: Fleet Coordinators, MoMa Operators, DQO team (QA, Refinement), Other Project Leads, Project Manager and internal stakeholders.
Result areas and responsibilities
- Develop and translate project plan into actionable regional or country-level operations.
- Coordinate vehicle readiness, team briefings, and capture execution with Fleet Coordinators.
- Track progress, log risks and operational issues, and communicate updates to the Project Manager.
- Perform initial validation of collected data and prepare inputs for refinement and QA.
- Manage documentation and checklists to support compliance and data governance.
- Escalate delivery, safety, or planning issues and propose corrective actions when necessary.
- Support field teams with tools, guidance, and task clarification.
- Provide feedback on execution efficiency and suggest process or tool improvements.
- Facilitate regular project reporting, risk escalation, and progress communication with leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain clear documentation for audit, compliance, and performance tracking.
Requirements and qualifications
- MBO+ / HBO level of working and thinking.
- 2–4 years of experience in field coordination, fleet/data operations, or project support roles.
- Familiarity with mobile mapping systems, survey equipment, or GNSS/INS workflows is a plus.
- Awareness of regulatory and safety guidelines related to fieldwork (e.g., GDPR, road safety).
- Experience with task tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, Trello).
- Fluent in English; regional language skills (e.g., Dutch or German) are desirable.
- Interest in pursuing project management certifications (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2 Foundation) is encouraged.
