Position Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales & marketing team. This team currently consists of four professionals and offers plenty of room for collaboration and growth.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for interested customers who reach out via our website or through marketing leads. You will follow up on these leads effectively and play a key role in qualifying them. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing a contact chain with prospective customers via LinkedIn, email, and phone. Qualified leads will then be followed up together with experienced Account Executives.
Together with the sales team, you will attend various trade shows and conferences to put AI-InfraSolutions on the map. You will help prepare for these events and ensure a thorough follow-up with new connections afterward. Because we are growing rapidly and have a unique product, you can quickly make an impact and contribute to our sales and marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Qualifying inbound leads from marketing campaigns and events, and developing them into concrete sales opportunities.
- Lead qualification using a structured sales methodology to understand customer needs and pain points.
- Identifying new leads through desk research and outbound activities to expand our customer base.
- Reaching out to potential customers – you will be responsible for a specific industry or region – initiating the first contact for potential collaborations. This involves a structured approach combining emails, LinkedIn messages, and phone calls.
- Collaborating with Senior Account Executives to develop appropriate prospecting strategies and plans.
- Preparing proposals for both interested and existing customers and following up on them.
- Maintaining customer information and interactions in our CRM system, including conversations, LinkedIn messages, emails, and phone follow-ups, ensuring high CRM hygiene.
- Preparing for trade shows and ensuring a strong follow-up with new contacts after the events.
- Attending trade shows and conferences with the sales team to further establish AI-InfraSolutions in the market.
Requirements
- Minimum HBO/WO (Bachelor’s or Master’s) level of education, preferably in a commercial field.
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a commercial role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing customer information and appointments.
- A strong drive to make a direct impact.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and the ability to understand and explain solutions to a diverse audience of customers.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch, both written and verbal.
- Strong commercial insight; the ability to recognize opportunities in the market.
- A proactive, customer-oriented mindset toward clients and prospects.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Experience with CRM systems and email campaigns is a plus.
